Welcome to my town!

Żary is located in the east of the historic Lower Lusatia region, in the borderland with the Silesian lowlands and Greater Poland, roughly outlined by the Bóbr and Oder rivers. The city is one of the biggest economic and tourist centers in the southern Lubuskie region and the largest town in the Polish part of Lusatia, therefore also referred as its unofficial capital. The city, whose history dates back more than 1000 years,[2] features many historic sites.

Żary is the town that has all you need. Many green spaces, pubs, restaurants, Swimming Pool with varity of saunas and gym, Seasonal Water Park, Icerink, public bicycle hire, Bowling, Cinema, Music School - which has significant impact for town culture, Shopping Malls, Tennis courts, even McDonald's is here!

Between 1997-2001 the Town was host to unusual event. Polish celebrity Jurek Owsiak started something what was called "Przystanek Woodstock" The three day music festival in a pick time gathered 750000 people hungry of peace love and rock&roll music.
